Common questions

How do I connect?

Open Hosts, add a server address, port, username, and password or supported SSH private key, then tap the host. The first connection asks you to verify its host key.

Why did my session reconnect?

iOS may suspend apps in the background. TermTek saves active session settings and can reconnect; remote shell state is preserved only if your server supports a persistent session tool such as tmux. After a longer period away, reopen the saved session from Hosts.

Where are my saved commands?

Command History is off by default. Turn on “Save commands on this device” in Settings. Existing history can be cleared per host from Command History.

Why is tmux or AI CLI detection unavailable?

These features depend on software installed and running on the server you connect to. The core SSH terminal does not require tmux or an AI command-line tool.

What if a host key changes?

Verify the new key fingerprint with your server administrator before trusting it. A changed host key can indicate a server rebuild or a security issue.
